Stirfried Records

Started in 2006 by Ricsta in south London, Stirfried serves up a spicy buffet of all original funky/electro house and breakbeat.
Their first release in march 2006 featured the gorgeous voice of Adele, who is recently signed to XL and set to rocket into the stratosphere as this is written. Future releases include tracks by brixton incognitos The Mighty Atom, and more from the Ricsta. All will have tasty offerings by two other new musical motleys: hot remixers/producers Ike R. Rhumba (whose preference is electro), and Lord of the Tings, (who lives in the land of breakbeat).
They’ve also been busy wokking away in their studios making tunes that have been melting and fizzing dancefloors all over the shop, including a searing remix of Hard-Fi’s better do better, and Stirfried vs. Blue Oyster Cult – a mental reworking of BOC’s Reaper, released 12/02/07.
Look out for mixes with Justin Cookee!

DISCOGRAPHY:
MARCH 2006: BE DIVINE. Ricsta feat Adele.
Four mixes of funky house and breakbeat being the first release for us and featuring the vocals of the lovely miss Adele.
AUGUST 2006: HARD-FI BETTER DO BETTER.
Electro mash up of the indie hit. Ricsta’s DEFCOM mix on side A to get the hands in the air, and Ike.R.Rhumba’s RSVP low down dirty dub on B.
FEB 2007: STIRFRIED VS. BLUE OYSTER CULT.
The Reaper gets stirfried by Ricsta doing acid house moves on A, and breaks on the flip. Nice.
APRIL 2007: SEXY POPCORN. Madmud feat Chillie.
Cool and sexy girl vocals. Ricsta’s sticky toffee style mix on A2 is chokka with electro basses and filthy drums.
MAY 2007: DOLLY MIXTURE.
Naughty white label by DJ Digit and Ricsta with smooth filtered house on the A, and some spicy electro on the B. Featuring more than a touch of Jolene.
MAY 2007: CALIBLING.
Stirfried’s cheeky number on white label with electro soundclash cut ups of the Mama’s and Papa’s California dreamin’ on A, and ELO’s Don’t Bling Me Down on B. So sue me!
MAY 2007: TAKING OVER.
The south london incognitos finally get their noodles twisted with two funky electro house mixes, one breaks mix, and a bonus breakbeat track from Lord of the Tings charmingly entitled Fuck Redemption.
JUNE 2007: KNEEBONE.
Stirfried’s first digital only release has funky disco, minimal electro and tuff beats mixes of this indie male vocal track. Guitars too…Grrr!
SEPTEMBER 2007: BOUNCE MOVE SHAKE. Ricsta & Cookee feat. miss Chloe.
First release for Ricsta and Justin Cookee finally gets it’s sauce in the wok with Miss C busting some proper rhymes. This got screams and applause at it’s first airing in France. Maqnifique!!
